Beef Jerky

Beef Jerky is a perfect protein. Especially when you use grass fed beef.

Grass Finished Beef Benefits, or... Click to Linolic Acid.

Jerky does not need to be refrigerated, and it is cheaper to make on your own at home.

You will love this easy recipe for this delicious snack.

Beef Jerky Recipe

1 Kg....2lbs. grass finished beef or venison
175mL...1/3 cup soy sauce
1.......1 clove minced garlic

1. Slice the meat lengthwise with grain into 4 by 1 by 1/4 inch thick strips.

2. Combine soy sauce and garlic in mixing bowl.

3. Add meat. Marinate beef for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Drain and arrange in single layer on wire racks. Set in a cookie sheet or have aluminum foil under for drippings.

5. Bake just above center in 150 degree oven, overnight or up to 12 hours until dry.

6. Blot meat on paper towel to remove excess fat, if there is any.

7. Store in tightly covered container.

8. No refrigeration necessary.

HINTS: If meat is slightly frozen it will be easier to cut into strips.

Like my Daughter; you can ask your meat cutter in your meat department, or butcher to slice up the meat for you. They are more than willing to help their customers to be happy.
